L-R: Amandip Johal, Assistant Director and Principal Social Worker; Tracey Wickett, Team Manager; and Ruth Terry, Executive Director of Social Care and Practice

Congratulations to our most recent winner of the regional CSWM award, Tracey Wickett from Bradford Children and Families Trust!

Tracey was nominated by Head of Service, Zoe Fryer, for the significant contribution she has made to changing the social work culture, through her professional curiosity and kindness. She has shown many examples of bravely advocating for families by challenging other professionals and championing restorative social work practice.

Our judging panel from Leeds, provided their rationale for awarding Tracey the win:

“Tracey has evidenced cultural change, inspiring leadership that has transformed practice in her team, but is also influencing practice in other parts of the service. Challenging professionals respectfully whilst ensuring that families and children are seen and provided with opportunities to grow and make positive changes to their lives. Tracey is a role model to her workers and raising the profile of the organisation - well done Tracey.”

Farrah Khan, Deputy Director Social Care and Donna Williams, Principal Social Worker, Leeds City Council

The CSWM Awards are our monthly award which celebrates social workers who go above and beyond. Each of our partner local authorities and adoption agencies can make one nomination per month. The winner is picked by our guest judges - senior colleagues from different local authorities.
