Our judging panel for the June nominations has awarded our next award to Ellen Ruth from Barnsley! Congratulations, Ellen!
Here is the panel’s feedback on Ellen’s successful nomination:
Ellen is a relatively new social worker who received a very positive nomination highlighting her child-centred approach. What made her nomination particularly powerful was a heartfelt message from a young person she worked with. The young person shared that Ellen was the first person who truly listened to her, made her feel safe, and helped her feel that her voice mattered. She described Ellen as brilliant, honest, and kind—an endorsement that speaks volumes.
All the panel felt it was so good to hear the young person’s voice in decision making and we must celebrate Ellen achievement as she has clearly made an amazing difference to this young person’s life.
