We are seeking an individual to lead on the delivery of the Department for Education requirement to offer before and after school childcare in (or close to) all primary, infant and junior schools in North Lincolnshire from 8am to 6pm daily. This is a new post and is temporary up to March 2026; secondments will be considered with managers approval.  It is an exciting opportunity for the post holder to work with schools, academies, and our partners in the private and voluntary sector to deliver this ambition.

The post holder will be responsible for creating new and expanding existing provision to meet current demand and potential growth in the market as a result of the 30-hour childcare expansion. The post holder will support settings with grant applications, sustainability, advising on Ofsted requirements, business support and marketing of the offer to families. 

The pace is fast and the work will be complex, in meeting the targets and requirements of the Department for Education. You will need excellent engagement and communication skills as well as the ability to plan and organise your work to ensure the council meet the requirements in mapping supply, demand and take-up, reporting progress and financial monitoring.
