Specialist Teacher- Transitions Support
Grade: Teachers T&Cs plus one SEN point
Salary: From £32,539 up to £49,064 per annum pro rata
Hours: Full time & Part time available - term time only
Contract: Fixed term - 12 months
Location: This post will be working in schools/settings across the County. Hybrid options – most of the week will be on site in schools, office space available for weekly team meetings, rest of the week is hybrid working
Weekend Working: No
We have several exciting opportunities to be part of a new team within the SEND Hubs in the Inclusion service due to some new funding allowing us to trial some new approaches to meeting the needs of children and young people with SEND.
For this post we are looking for flexible, creative professionals with significant experience of supporting successful inclusion in mainstream schools, who are keen to work as part of a multidisciplinary team to give an intensive level of support to children starting school, and starting year 6.
The project will focus on children and young people with autism and complex communication needs, and the team will take a holistic approach to meeting need, so you will be working alongside your colleagues from the Children and families service and Educational Psychology, this will be a great opportunity to develop your skills in this area, as you work across the pupils’ home, current and next setting to plan a confident transition.
Training and high quality supervision will be given
All posts are fixed term, 12 months for the duration of the project, part time applications welcome as are secondments from North Yorkshire maintained schools or settings.
