  • Generous flexible working packages to ensure that you can work in a flexible environment and get the necessary time to enjoy your home life

  • Join a team that seeks out innovative practice to do the right things, making your job easier and results in better outcomes for children and young people

  • Sheffield is a great city – It is diverse with a wide range of cultural, social, and outdoor activities, good schools and has excellent transport links

Our ambition is to support children and young people to be safe and supported to reach their full potential. To do this we need the very best Advanced Social Work Practitioners to join our teams in frontline Fieldwork services.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join us in Sheffield, where you will be using relationship-based practice and the signs of safety framework to deliver an excellent social work service to children, young people and their families.

You'll need to be an experienced qualified social work practitioner with significant post qualification experience working autonomously undertaking complex casework, with extensive experience in completing risk assessments, presenting evidence in court, and carrying out safeguarding investigations in a multi-agency environment. We would love to hear from you.

We are investing in our workforce and are promoting opportunities to our under-represented groups.  We value equality, diversity and inclusion and are focused on increasing the diversity of our workforce, particularly the number of Black, Asian, Minority Ethnic, Disabled and LGBTQ+ people, so that our teams reflect the communities in the city we serve. We are also supporting staff with unpaid caring responsibilities to work flexibly. It is a great time to join us and we welcome your application.

Under the Disability Confident Scheme, disabled applicants, who meet the essential criteria of this job, are guaranteed an interview.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment.  All successful candidates will be required to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
