We are looking for an enthusiastic and passionate Fostering Supervising Social Worker to join our established fostering team.
You will hold a manageable case load allowing you to play a key role in assessing, supervising and supporting foster carers through their fostering career to provide the very best of care for our Sheffield children looked after.
We require a motivated and experienced qualified and SWE registered social worker who holds a sound knowledge of fostering legislation and practice issues.
You will be responsible for providing guidance, support and supervision to foster carers to sustain children and young people in their foster placements in which they feel cared for and are nurtured to reach their full potential.
As a fostering supervising social worker, you will undertake announced and unannounced home visits, assist and facilitate support groups and training to foster carers.
We are looking for workers with a ‘can do’ attitude; someone who is resilient, flexible and creative at problem solving and who can work with us to deliver a high level of service.

If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
