Job description

Do you want a career that will make a difference? Do you want to become part of our outstanding management team within North Lincolnshire? We have fantastic opportunities for a Practice Supervisor within our Children in Care team and our Care Leavers team.

In our most recent focused visit from Ofsted in January 2024, they highlighted that ‘managers and senior leaders are visible and approachable.'  Workers say that they enjoy working in the North Lincolnshire care leaver service. One worker said, ‘It feels like a big family; we all bring something to our work with young people and we share the learning.’ This is further echoed in the Ofsted visit from 2022, which stated that ‘Children in the care of North Lincolnshire children’s services receive an exceptional service from workers who demonstrate that they care for them…..workloads are manageable, enabling workers to practise relationally, spending more time with children and families.'

We have a commitment to our workforce learning and development which allows for improved and innovative practice. You would have the opportunity to join a team who are well supported, connected, fun, lively and hold high aspirations for the children and families that we work with.

North Lincolnshire Council offers, agile, flexible working and in-house training with a focus on the wellbeing of our workforce with access to an array of training and resources and support in your continuous professional development.

We strive to support our staff to be confident professionals with the skills, values, knowledge, and expertise to do their job well.

To apply for this post, you must have experience and demonstrate an understanding of the issues facing vulnerable children and young people. The successful candidate must be a qualified social worker and registered with Social Work England.
