Job description

We want to employ two Outreach Practitioners for the Autism Spectrum Education Team (ASET).

Our Team consists of three Teachers (one Secondary and two Primary) and five Outreach Practitioners who work to support children and young people who have a diagnosis of Autism, or Autism and ADHD combined, as well as those with social communication and interaction presentations who may or may not go on to receive a diagnosis.

We support children/young people from transition into Reception through to transition out of college. Ideally you will have experience of a range of all Key Stages and some qualifications and/or continuing professional development in the areas of neurodevelopmental differences and/or autism but full training and support will be provided for the right candidate.

As part of the role, you will work in and with schools to support identification of need, understanding need and ensuring the right support is in place. This may be done through a combination of attendance at meetings such as Early Helps, observations during lessons and some direct work with the child or young person.

We are small and enthusiastic group of teaching staff whose drive is to successfully include children and young people in education.

We are continually reflecting and reviewing our work to bring in the newest and best ways of working.

We employ a solution focused approach working together with children, young people, and a wide range of professionals, including Health colleagues, to enable success and progress for those we work with.

Previous candidates need not apply
