Apprentice Social Worker - Children & Families Service (current and future opportunities)

Salary: From £27,344 up to £30,151 per annum pro rata

The opportunity is for current and future roles we have for apprentice Social Worker Roles.

 

A great opportunity to join our excellent organisation. We are always seeking talented individuals who have the skills required to undertake a social work apprenticeship with us and make a real difference to the lives of children and families across North Yorkshire.

 

We are seeking to grow teams across the county, on your application please state from the below list is the area you are interested in;

 

Northallerton: Central Child Permanence and Family reunification team

Richmond: Richmondshire Family Assessment and Support team

Skipton: Craven Family Assessment and Support team

Harrogate: West Family Assessment and Support team

Selby: Selby Family Assessment and Support team

 

Join us as a ‘child and family worker’.  You will undertake a three-year social work degree (as an Apprentice Social Worker) having investing in your training we expect you to remain employed in North Yorkshire for two years once qualifying where you will be supported to complete you ASYE.

 

 

What do you need?

 

Are you currently working with children and families and think you might want to become a social worker?

 

  •  Experience of direct work with children and their families. You must be able to evidence that you have developed relevant social work values, knowledge and skills (as these will be assessed at all stages of the recruitment and selection process). Click here for more details.

  •  You must have the minimum academic requirement. Which is Maths and English Language at GCSE grade C (or equivalent).

  •  A full driver’s licence (with use of a car) and the ability to travel around the area you will be working in visiting children and their families.

  •  You will need an enhanced DBS dated within one year prior to starting the programme.

  •  £27,344 - £30,151 per annum pro rata.

If you are successful and reach the next stage, you will receive a pre interview phone call the week commencing 2nd October 2023 to explore your application form.
