A great and exciting opportunity has arisen within the Children Looked After team for a permanent Advanced Social Worker. This is a part time role of 18.5 hours per week with the days and times to be agreed. The Children Looked After team works with children who are in long term care, up until the age of 16.
Working as part of a team of 7 social workers, 4 advanced social worker and 1 apprentice social worker with a dedicated admin support to undertake service specific tasks, the roles report directly to the Team Manager. The service offers blended working opportunities and provide agile working kits to allow work to be completed in council offices or from home.
Day-to-day duties include:
- Building positive and meaningful relationships with our children, young people and families.
- Assessing the needs of our children, young people and families and providing timely needs led intervention.
- Co-developing plans with our children, carers and their families and partner agencies.
- Ensure we meet our statutory duties and responsibilities in relation to our children looked after, and that practice standards are met.,
