We are looking for an effective Service Manager to manage our Leaving Care services in Rotherham. You will be responsible for the delivery of excellent practice and quality within the service.
Background
Rotherham council is investing in the Leaving Care Service. We recognise that our care experienced young people require the very best service and we intend to provide this to them. As such we have created a new Service Manager post, with a sole focus on Leaving Care Services.
We are looking for a Service Manager who is committed to high quality and restorative practice. We are looking for an effective leader who can guide the teams and focus upon service delivery and development.
The Service Manager for Leaving Care will;
- Provide leadership and management of the Team Managers in Leaving Care.
- Provide oversight of service delivery in Leaving Care.
- Provide written reports, briefings and presentations to a wide range of stakeholders including elected members.
- Ensure the service complies with all standards and legislative requirements and are focussed on delivering successful outcomes for all care experienced young people.
- Provide opportunities for care experienced young people to influence the decisions that affect them and the service they receive.
- Foster a commitment to continuous growth and development for the staff teams.
- Work systemically with a range of agencies and both internal and external partners to ensure a joined-up service centred on care experienced young people.
- Management of the leaving care service budget.
