Grade: M

Salary: From £44,428 up to £48,474 per annum pro rata

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: 14.5 hours on Thursdays & Fridays each week

Location: County Hall Northallerton Flexible work bases and hybrid working available.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a part time Policy, Practice & Development Officer alongside the current post holder. This role plays a key part in driving our Quality of Practice Framework and ensuring that our practice is compliant with legislation, statutory guidance and responsive to national research and practice developments.

 

The role drives service improvement and works closely with the rest of the Effective Practice and Quality Assurance team on a range of workstreams to provide high quality outcomes for children.

 

You will drive the quality of practice by identifying areas for development, areas of best practice and latest research on practice and share these across the Children & Family Service, work on the supporting families programme and support preparation for inspections across the department.

 

Utilising project management skills and knowledge of CYPS in NYC, you will play a key part in developing, implementing and updating policy and procedures as well as working with a range of partners and colleagues across the directorate to ensure the quality of practice children and families receive is high, consistent and this includes work to ascertain their views.

 

The Children & Families Service provides services which follow specific legislation, including the Children Act 1989 and the Children Act 2004 as well as other Government guidance and policy. We are committed to providing high quality services to support children, young people and their families. His is a critical role with the Effective Practice and QA team.
