Assessment and Reunification and Pre-Birth Team
An exciting opportunity has arisen for two experienced, skilled and child focused social workers to join our expanding assessment team within the Edge of Care Service in Sheffield.
Our focus is to work alongside fieldwork teams to provide in depth parenting, reunification, Parent Assess and pre-birth assessments with the families of children considered to be on the edge of care or those being cared for outside of their family who could return home.
Our assessments have an emphasis on risk, parental capacity and capability to change whilst ensuring the child/ren is central to any recommendations made.
In light of the complexity of the assessment work required previous experience of undertaking structured, in-depth assessment work and court work with a clear focus on timescales would be beneficial.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join us is Sheffield, where you will be using relationship-based and trauma-informed practice, and the signs of safety framework to deliver an excellent social work service to children, young people and their families.
Our ambition is to support children and young people to remain in the care of their parents and identify a package of support to ensure they are safe and can reach their full potential.
