In line with the Government’s children social care implementation strategy ‘Stable Homes, built on love’ and the ‘SEND and alternative provision Improvement plan, right support, right place, right time’ we are transforming our services to ensure we continue to be at the forefront of practice.

As part of our transformation journey, we have a number of newly created Lead Officer positions available within our Children and Families leadership team in the following areas:

  • Lead Officer Children and Families Performance and Data (Pay Grade 11)

  • Lead Officer Family Help (Pay Grade 12)

  • Lead Officer Child Protection and PLO (Pay Grade 12)

  • Lead Officer Care Leavers (Pay Grade 12)

  • Lead Officer SEND (Pay Grade 12)

In these roles, you will have significant leadership experience within social care, education or related systems, including proven experience of leadership and developing system wide practice that empowers children and their families. You will lead a team that focuses on enablement and co-production with families, through an integrated, multi-agency model of family help. Building on a new relationship with neighbourhoods and communities, you will help drive forward this integrated offer across both the Council and wider partnership. You will work together as one council leadership team to continue to drive our ambitions for children to be in their homes, in their schools, and in their communities.
