ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Fostering Rotherham as a Fostering Team Manager – Supervisory.
At Fostering Rotherham, we are proud to be part of an Outstanding service, recognised for the difference we make to children, young people and foster families. Our success is built on strong relationships, a commitment to continuous improvement and a culture where people are supported to develop and thrive.
As Team Manager, you will lead a team of supervising social workers who work alongside foster carers to provide safe, stable and nurturing homes for children and young people. You will be responsible for providing professional leadership, reflective supervision and management oversight, ensuring that foster carers receive high-quality support and that children achieve the best possible outcomes.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, compassionate and motivated leader who shares our commitment to relationship-based practice. You will work closely with foster carers, children, partner agencies and colleagues across Children’s Services to promote placement stability, strengthen fostering families and continually improve the experience of children in our care.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Team Manager or an aspiring leader looking for the next step in their career. You will join a supportive and experienced management team where collaboration, professional curiosity and shared learning are actively encouraged.
Working as an integral member of the management team, you will have a sound knowledge of fostering legislation, regulations, guidance and standards. Previous experience of fostering and supervising foster carers is essential.
At Fostering Rotherham, we believe that when our staff feel valued and supported, they are best placed to support others. We invest in our managers through regular reflective supervision, strong peer support, accessible senior leaders and opportunities for professional development. You will be joining a service that is ambitious for children, proud of its achievements and focused on becoming even better.
