About the Role
The successful candidate will join a county fostering service committed to developing excellent practice in line with the Fostering Regulations and National Minimum Standards. You will need to be committed to developing excellent outcomes for children through creating productive working relationships with a wide range of services to support our fostering families. Within this role, you will be responsible for the supervision and day to day support of a team of Fostering Social Workers and Fostering Support Workers who support North Yorkshire foster carers.
We are looking for an experienced social worker who is ready to take the next step in their professional career or someone who is currently a Practice Supervisor wanting to join our team who has substantial case management experience, who can supervise on a day-to-day basis with effective social work practice to a busy team.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Social Worker with current Social Work England registration.
- Experience in fostering and a strong understanding of the assessment process.
- Knowledge of the impact of childhood adverse trauma.
- Supervisory or management experience is advantageous.
- Commitment to building positive working relationships with fostering families and partner agencies.
