Our purpose is clear - to ensure that our promise to improve the lives of children and young people in Bradford becomes a reality. It’s a tough ask. It requires dedication, determination and resilience – but under a new Chief Executive, Senior Leadership team and an unswerving drive to deliver the best outcomes, we are confident that we’ll achieve our ambition.

Working for the Bradford Children and Families trust offers the opportunity to work with great people who are passionate about delivering change in a city whose culture offers as much diversity as it’s geography.

About the Role:

The Bradford Children and Families Trust understand the importance of supporting student social workers to develop their practice through positive experiences on placement and are increasing the number of placement opportunities for students.  In order to support this vision, we are recruiting 7 Specialist Practice Educators, who will be responsible for up to 7 student social workers or Newly Qualified Social Workers at any given time offering them support, learning opportunities and reflective supervision. You will be joining a team of 5 Specialist Practice Educators who are already in post.

We are looking to recruit friendly, dynamic and enthusiastic individuals to join our team and we want to hear from you if you are Stage 2 Practice Educator qualified or working towards your Stage 2 qualification; have experience of offering reflective supervision to others to develop practice and have a proven track record of supporting children, young people and their families to improve their circumstances and overall life chances.

As part of our improvement journey, we are thinking outside of the box to create a stable workforce who have the tools to work in a city that has its challenges but offers unique practice experiences for individuals who came into social work to really make a difference and see rewards of the job through the lens of a child or young person.

This is a pivotal role in the support of those in the very early stages of their social work career, your experience and knowledge will shape the social worker they become.

We have a strong Senior Leadership Team who have a clear vision to improve the services we offer to the Children of Bradford through the relationships we build with them to listen to them and to ensure that they are at the heart of everything we do.
