About Us

As a Social Worker within North East Lincolnshire’s Fostering Team, you will be part of an integrated multi-disciplinary team who provide support across a range of areas. The Fostering Team meet a diverse set of needs, from recruiting local authority carers through to supporting family and friend’s carers.

 

As a key colleague within this service, you will be involved in the recruitment and training of new Foster Carers, as well as engaging in opportunities to develop and become part of the North East Lincolnshire Fostering panel. You will also be instrumental in the development of the Foster Carer training programme and the overall impact it has in supporting our Fostering Community.

 

We are also integrating a new programme of support which will allow colleagues the opportunity to work with our Foster Carer’s own children who are integral to a successful Fostering process.

About You

We are looking to recruit Level 1 Social Workers and above into our Fostering Team and there are full and part time roles available. If this sounds like you, then please get in touch.

  • You have a recognised professional Social Work Qualification (MA/BA/BSC in Social Work, Diploma in Social Work or CQSW) and are registered as a social worker with Social Work England.

  • You have successfully completed the ASYE programme or have equivalent knowledge, skills and experience.

  • You have knowledge of statutory and regulatory frameworks relevant to children’s care services and can demonstrate you understand the requirements of the Knowledge and Skills Framework for Child and Family Social Work

  • You can manage, with support, a caseload using your own discretion and initiative and are able to analyse information and make sound, rational and proportional decisions based on this information
