You will be joining an authority rated as Outstanding by Ofsted in 2025.
You will be joining an authority who are passionate about supporting and assessing kinship carers to ensure children can remain with family or friends wherever possible

ABOUT YOU
You will have:
A relevant social work qualification to support registration with Social Work England
A passion for improving outcomes for children.
A minimum of two years’ experience of working within a Local Authority or private sector fostering team.
Enthusiasm and ambition to deliver high quality support and supervision to both prospective and approved kinship foster carers.
Strong assessment and recording skills and be motivated to promote an empathic understanding of the needs of children in care across the service.
The necessary skills to deliver a range of tasks connected to kinship fostering assessments, training, support and supervision of all foster carers.
In-depth knowledge of legislation and a good understanding of the National Minimum Standards for Fostering (NMS 2011).
