Following the pandemic, we have not returned to our modern offices, empowering our Social Workers to help and support our communities from a central hub. Children’s Assessment Team has four pods which consist of a practice manager, advanced practitioner and five social workers with administration support. As a social worker within the team, you will be responsible for providing a quality service to our children in need of support and protection. The team undertakes child and family single assessments, section 47 enquiries, pre-birth assessments and covers all aspects of planning, up until the appropriate transfer point to the relevant locality or children looked after team.
Social Workers in Calderdale are supported to provide the very best service for our children. Quality reflective supervision is provided as part of our learning culture. All staff are also encouraged to join one of our staff groups, including BAME, LGBTQ and Disability Forum.
