Early Support services work within a Families Together model which is an integrated early support model that brings together diverse services across all sectors to provide a joined up, whole family approach to supporting children and families when, where, and how they need that support.

Family Group Conferences (FGCs) are at the heart of our restorative approach to supporting families when there is an identified need for support or safeguarding issues. They aim to help families develop their own solutions to the difficulties they are facing. We are looking for a dynamic and experienced Team Leader who will work consistently and assertively using a multi-agency approach and restorative practice, developing effective working relationships to deliver co-ordinated support to Children, Young people and their Families ensuring the child’s voice is paramount.

It would be desirable that you are an experienced and trained Family Group Conference Coordinator or can demonstrate your knowledge of the underpinning principles and practices of FGC and meet the person checklist as detailed in the job profile and focus sheet.

Reporting to the Team Manager you will be responsible for managing a team of FGC Co-Ordinators to develop and implement Family Group Conference approach to children, young people and families in Kirklees. You will work as part of an Early Support management team in developing the FGC service. It is essential you have experience of managing and supporting staff and case management.

For full details about the role please see the FGC Team Leader Job Profile and Focus Sheet.

In order to be shortlisted for this role please demonstrate how you meet the shortlisting criteria. CVs will not be accepted.
