Working within a multi-agency context, you will use your extensive experience of social work and safeguarding, to coordinate the investigative process in response to allegations, providing advice, guidance, support, and challenge where necessary to organisations that work with children, to ensure children, young people and families are appropriately safeguarded.

As CYC LADO you will be the first point of contact for professionals seeking advice and guidance to manage concerns and allegations against staff who work with or volunteer with children. You will need a sound understanding of the legislative and safeguarding context, including Working Together to Safeguard Children (2018), Keeping Children Safe in Education (2022). You will work with a range of partner agencies (both statutory and voluntary) and regulatory bodies in progressing referrals in a timely way and sharing information as required.
