Studying at University of Bradford

University of Bradford runs an undergraduate course in Social Work, and a Masters course for Postgraduates.

Both courses are accredited by Social Work England:

  • BA (Hons) in Social Work – a 3-year Social Work England accredited course where  you’ll learn the latest theory and gain hands-on practical experience, in a research-led learning environment. You will learn a range of practice skills to ensure you can work effectively with individuals, families and groups, including the use of art, play and role play. In years two and three you will develop real-world experience on practice learning modules, enabling you to apply your knowledge in social work settings.

  • MA in Social Work – a 2-year professional social work qualification at Master's level that will enable you to be a confident, competent, qualified social work practitioner. Our course is designed, managed, and delivered by a programme management team, in partnership with people that use services, the Bradford Social Work Teaching Partnership (Bradford Council, University of Bradford and Bradford College) and includes students, practice placement agencies, lecturers, and practitioners.
