Come and work for an “Outstanding” Youth Offending Service. In March 2019 the East Riding of Yorkshire Youth Offending Service became the first to ever score full marks across the board in an inspection by HM Inspectorate of Probation. Inspectors noted: “Staff build fruitful relationships with children, young people, parents and carers, and partner services. It is evident that children and young people are listened to and their goals and aspirations are taken seriously and acted upon.”
In October 2020, the YOS won “Team of the Year” at the prestigious LGC Awards.
The ethos of the team is “child first” and all staff have been trained in trauma informed practice.
We are seeking to recruit an energetic, enthusiastic and highly motivated YOS Practice Manager to lead on our Out of Court work. This operational role will involve managing a small team of practitioners and reporting directly to an Area Manager within Targeted Intensive Services. The role of the practice manager is to provide supervision to the team and provide oversight of risk and decision making.
The ideal candidate would have:
-Significant work experience in criminal justice
-Experience of working with children and families
-A Social Work Qualification (Dip, BA, MA etc.) or equivalent
-Experience of staff supervision/management is desirable
