Team Manager – Children’s Social Care
Salary: £42,683 up to £46,503
Are you looking for your next challenge in a highly acclaimed organisation?
Would you like to be part of the delivery and growth of an innovative children and families model?
North Yorkshire is the first and only authority nationally to have received an ‘outstanding’ grade in every category under a new and challenging social care inspection framework. We are extremely proud of this achievement and now have a focus on maintaining this standard across all provisions. We are seeking a Team Manager to join our organisation within the No Wrong Door Team, to help us continue to deliver outstanding outcomes for children and young people.
No Wrong Door has been highly effective in creating safer and more stable homes for our most vulnerable children and our dedicated team work with the most complex young people in North Yorkshire to give them the best possible chance in life. The service is in an exciting period of growth and expansion; after successfully delivering the No Wrong Door initiative within NYCC there is now a focus to expand delivery across other local authorities.
As Team Manager you will drive forward the effective delivery of the No Wrong Door model. You will lead and manage a range of services, support and placements for both looked after children and those on the edge of care. You will be responsible for the management of significant financial resources and ensure that the service delivers within nationally defined regulations and standards. The ideal candidate will have a sound knowledge of Ofsted regulations, understand the various complex needs of young people and be able to lead a team of experienced colleagues to deliver an effective and unique provision.
You will be working with colleagues who have a commitment to shared values and the common purpose of developing a culture of inter-agency working. As Team Manager you will develop and influence strong partnership relationships with peers, senior leadership, Elected Members, Looked after Children’s Groups, Multi- Agency partnerships, and key government departments.
In return for your hard work and dedication to this role, you can expect to receive ongoing support from the senior leadership team, a flexible working approach (including the ability to work from home) and access to our ‘Everybody Benefits’ package which includes various high-street retail discounts.
This is a great opportunity for a forward thinking and dynamic individual to utilise their skills and knowledge and help us think differently about the way we look after adolescents.
