We are looking to recruit Service Managers to lead and manage the following Social Work Services.

  • Assessment and Intervention
  • Looked After Children
  • Disabled Children’s Service

As part of the management team and working closely with the Head of Service, you’ll work strategically to design and implement service changes and improvement, you will help shape the service to ensure children are protected. Your oversight of the development and delivery of a complex service in line with policy, best practice, professional standards and legislation, ensuring children are always at the centre of social work practice will be vital to support our improvement plan.

You’ll be responsible for a number of social work teams and provide line management to Team Managers.  As a manager you will provide supervision and opportunities for reflection making sure your managers do the same. We have a huge commitment to providing our social workers with exceptional levels of support. This includes working hard to reduce caseloads, ensuring high-quality professional development and achieving the best possible standards of supervision and management; we’ll be looking to you to make sure this happens.

We will provide you with a comprehensive induction programme, dedicated supervision and a range of great CPD opportunities.  You will be allocated a mentor/coach and will have access to a range of management development opportunities to enable you to become the best you can be.

We are looking for an experienced Social Work manager with a proven track record in managing employees, budgets and performance. You will have a strong understanding of what best practice looks like and be passionate about inspiring and improving children’s lives, as well as the continuous professional development of social work practitioners.  A creative and flexible approach to work and the drive and motivation to improve our services are key.  Good people skills are a must.
