We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated and enthusiastic Social Worker to work within our Kinship Care Team as a Senior Social Worker.
As a member of the team you will be responsible for the assessment , approval and support of Connected Person (Kinship)foster carers, Special Guardians and Private Fostering arrangements you will work closely with colleagues in the childrens’ social work teams.
Ideally the candidate should have a sound knowledge of child care/kinship legislation and have experienced ofcourt work. You will have a proven track record of working on your own initiative as well within a team and have a high standard of written assessments and a keen analytical mind. You must be a qualified social worker with current HCPC registration.
As a member of our team you will also be involved in the development ofthe Kinship Care Team and the continuing developmentWakefield Councils Fostering Service. We are a busy service and willingness to travelling is anessential as is the ability to work flexibly including evenings and occasional Saturdays. Some Kinship assessments require work outside the local area.
This is a fulltime post, 37 hours and Enhanced DBS is required and some out of county travel may be required For informal discussion please contact Joanne Hall Fostering Team Manager
