We are looking to recruit a permanent Senior Fieldwork Manager in Sheffield Children and Families front line services.  The first 12 months of the appointment will be working as the Signs of Safety Project Manager to continue to implement and embed the practice model across Children’s Services and Partner agencies. Thereafter, the postholder will work in fieldwork services.

Candidates will have experience of management projects and significant knowledge and experience of the Signs of Safety model.  The ability to advise and make decisions on complex cases as well as monitoring work plans to ensure performance standards are achieved, in terms of consistency and quality is an essential requirement to undertake the role in fieldwork services.

We are a learning organisation and have recently received a “Good” Ofsted rating.  We pride ourselves in excellent team working, with Senior Fieldwork Managers managing 6 FTE social workers. Newly qualified staff are supported and mentored by social work consultants and are on protected caseloads.

The postholder will report to the Improvement Programme Manager in the first 12 months whilst undertaking the Signs of Safety project work and Service Manager thereafter in fieldwork services.
