This role is an exciting opportunity for making a difference to young people by reducing risk, working with partner agencies and using theme’s to inform future changes to our responses to children and young people who are at risk from harm outside the family home and exploitation.

 

The role will require you to be confident in chairing complex mapping exercises, you will be skilled at working with partner agencies including adult services to formulate robust plans for children and young people.

 

The role will coordinate activity and practice to identify and manage the risk to young people outside of the family home and/or exploitation. Supervise Child Exploitation practitioners working directly with children and families where there are identified risks in relation to extra familial harm and/or exploitation.

 

The role will support the development, knowledge, and skills of the wider workforce and partnership through advice, guidance and training to deliver good outcomes for children and young adults.

 

The role will be the key resource for professionals and partner agencies for harm outside the family home and child exploitation. Provide advice and guidance to professionals in Children’s Services about pathways and risk management of young people at risk of exploitation or extra familial harm.

 

Act as a champion for extra familial harm across Children’s Services to ensure that this is recognised and responded to within NLC and with wider partner agencies.

 

Support and development of training. Attend Multi-Agency Child Exploitation meetings around the wider harm outside the family home agenda and work being undertaken.

 

Support the co-ordination of National Referral Mechanisms across the partnership. Support the transition of vulnerable adolescents into adult services. Undertake such other duties as may be reasonable expected at this level.
