We are seeking to appoint a Practice Development Manager to further develop practice within the Children’s Disability Service, ensuring a consistent approach to practice across both social work and wider social care within the service.

Previous experience of supporting and providing services to disabled children and their families is an essential requirement of the post, as is sound knowledge and experience of the safeguarding issues that affect children with disabilities. A working knowledge of legislation and statutory guidelines associated with the provision of support to disabled children is also essential. The views of disabled children, young people and their families shape our services therefore a strong commitment to partnership working with children and families together with a sound understanding of effective planning leading to positive outcomes is a key expectation of the post holder.
