We are currently looking to appoint a temporary Panel Manager who will have a specific focus on supporting our fostering panel and the development of our permanence panel.

The key elements of the role will be at act as Panel Advisor, share with the chair joint responsibility for annual performance review, responsible for the day to day management of the panel system, to brief panels on policy, practice and research and support and identify training needs. Additionally in regards to Fostering Panel, the post holder will assist with appointment, termination and review of the central list, induction and training of panel members.

You should have experience of working with children, young people and their families, and we would particularly welcome those applicants who have recent significant experience working with children in care or from a fostering background.

You will ideally have experience of managing a team. You will need to have an understanding of fostering regulations and an understanding of permanency planning for children and young people.

You should have a proven track record of making a difference for children.

This is a fast paced environment and will need to balance multiple demands on your time. Having well-developed communication and planning skills are a key requirement of the post.
