Oakland Short Break Unit (Children with Disabilities)

We are currently looking to recruit a Night Care Assistant for Oakland Short Breaks Home for disabled children in Hatfield, Doncaster. DN7 6JL.

We require a Night Care Assistant to support the high demands of the unit. This will require an individual who is passionate about supporting, caring and engaging with children with various disabilities from complex health needs to profound learning and physical disabilities, Autism and challenging behaviors.

This will include personal care and working within a passionate dedicated care team and supporting the shift leader with meeting the needs of the children. This post will undertake 21 hours per week on a rolling rota that is already in place.

You must be a team player, have good written and verbal communication skills. A desire to enhance your knowledge by undertaking specialised training unique to the children we care and support.  Finally you must be passionate about supporting children and families and be a character of punctuality and professionalism.

Previous experience in childcare setting is essential and post holder must be prepared to undertake further vocational qualifications in-line with Ofsted requirements. Training will be provided and you need to be willing to attend training to fulfil your role.

Post holder must be able to meet the physical and travel/mobility requirements of the post (with or without reasonable adjustments).
