This is an opportunity for an experienced qualified social worker to take forward the work of allegations management for Wakefield and District Council. The primary focus of the work will be acting as the local authority designated officer and coordinating allegations made against paid staff and volunteers who work with children and young people in the district. This post requires good organisational skills, computer literacy, ability to communicate with all levels of the organisation and discretion, together with significant child protection social work experience at a minimum of advanced practitioner level. The successful candidate will be part of a highly motivated and enthusiastic unit with a desire to improve outcomes for children and young people.
