The Division of Social Care and Counselling are seeking to recruit an outstanding and enthusiastic lecturer in Social Work with specific expertise in children and family social work. The Division is committed to developing and delivering excellent and ground breaking social work teaching, learning and research. We are looking for an experienced practitioner or leader who can develop and deliver innovative models of teaching and practice. You will need to be able to deliver teaching which is creative and inspiring to experienced children and families practitioners and pre-qualifying students. As such applications will be limited to those who are already registered as a social worker with the HCPC, and who have experience of working with children and families.
You will have experience of working with students and will be able to inspire them to excel through positive role modelling and creative teaching. You should also be committed to partnership working with service users, carers and our colleagues within the Teaching Partnership.
Currently the Division of Social Care and Counselling has over twenty full-time staff and is seeking to maintain its reputation as a top quality provider of teaching at both undergraduate and post graduate level. We are one of the top Universities in the North of England for teaching and learning, having been awarded the Times Higher Education University of the Year in 2013.
You will hold a Master’s or Higher degree in Social Work or related subject.
