A realignment of services earlier in the year will be completed by appointing to the Head of Service for Quality, Performance and Standards. This role will bring together the three services by holding the accountability for the Trust’s quality assurance and standards of social work practice ensuring the Trust’s high standards of practice are understood and met within the Trust and across the Doncaster Partnership.

The portfolio of services includes our IRO and CP Chair Services, Practice Development Social Workers, Quality and Performance. In addition the role holder will be the appointed Caldicott Guardian for the Trust and by agreement the Principal Social Worker.

It is a great opportunity for someone who is steeped in social worker practice but has the drive, determination and ideas on how to support our social workers achieve good quality safe practice and achieve great outcomes for children and young people.

This is not an easy ask but for the right person the role could bring a fantastic opportunity to influence and shape the social work that supports over 2,000 children and young people.

We are looking for someone who is

  • a qualified and registered social worker,
  • has experience of leading managers in a social work environment,
  • can analyse information to help shape changes that will bring real improvement to practice,
  • can work collaboratively with peers, social workers and partners and
  • importantly is conscious about the impact of listening to the voice of the child.
