Hull Children’s Young People and Family Services have an exciting opportunity for a Group Manager to join our localities safeguarding teams on a permanent basis. We are looking for passionate social work leaders who can demonstrate their skills, resilience, and experience in managing teams and services with complex cases and evidencing multi-agency partnership working with a robust understanding of thresholds of need and capacity to challenge others professionally. You will be responsible for building effective professional relationships with partners across the City, be consistent and confident in managing performance and quality of practice ensuring decision making is robust at different levels.

You can expect to join a welcoming service, where expectations are high and where you will receive support and supervision to develop a culture and environment where practice can flourish and where services to children and young people are of a high standard. As a member of the operational leadership team, you will be instrumental in the operational development and planning of services. You will be fully committed to the local vision for social work and be able to demonstrate effective leadership experience within a social work context. Your ability to lead in partnership with others will be vital to ensuring the development of highly effective relationships with key agencies and furthering our ambitions for improving outcomes for children. Occasionally you will be required to work at a strategic level within a local setting and to contribute to national developments through Innovation Programme related projects.

You must be a qualified Social Worker and registered with the Social Work England. It is critical that you have extensive social work experience to support key decision makers in the system and to ensure that all practice is informed by sound assessment and judgement. Within a leadership context, you will be committed to reflective challenge and support, embracing the principles which are consistent with systemic practice.
