Our ambition is to support children and young people to reach their full potential. To do this we need the very best newly qualified and experienced social workers to join one of our fantastic teams.

We are looking to recruit newly qualified and experienced social workers in frontline fieldwork services across the city. Our newly qualified social workers are supported and mentored by social work consultants throughout the 12 month ASYE programme.

We have an exceptional ASYE offer which includes one to one support from a social work consultant in addition to support from a line manager, a phased protected low caseload over the 12 month ASYE programme, study days, networking sessions and master classes provided by social work experts in addition to a specific newly qualified social work training pathway. All Social Care Professionals are trained in the ‘Signs of Safety’ practice model. We will give you the opportunity to make a real difference to the children and families in need of care and to become an excellent practitioner with the ability to fast track your career.

The focus of our work is on children in need and in need of protection and children who are looked after, prior to transfer to leaving care services and you will be able to preference to work in one of our teams: North, East, West and Children Looked-After.

You will be Social work qualified and registered with HCPC. We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare and safety of children and vulnerable adults and expect all staff to share this commitment. All successful candidates are to complete an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
