One Adoption West Yorkshire is a shared regional adoption service across the 5 West Yorkshire Local Authorities. It is hosted by Leeds City Council with office bases across West Yorkshire. Core services are the recruitment and assessment of all adopters, family finding for children and adoption support through all life stages and our vision is to ensure that children, adopters and birth parents in West Yorkshire receive an excellent adoption service.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to work within Business Support. Main duties are to work as part of a team to provide full administration and minute taking to the adoption panels. The post holder will be required to provide administration support which includes the minuting of all panels and agency decision making meetings. The post holder must be able to deal with highly confidential and extremely sensitive information and have the ability to communicate with social work teams and professionals both face to face and via telephone. At times this can be regarding sensitive issues. The post holder will require a high level of accuracy and coordination in ensuring panels are administered to a high standard.

You may be asked to work across other teams within Business Support and therefore you will need to be flexible and adaptable.

Business Support has a strong team ethic and you will need to be able to work well in a team as well as use your own initiative. The role will require you to be proactive and there will be occasions where you will be expected to work with limited supervision.

We are currently working from home but it is expected that the post holder will be based in the Bradford office. However, the work covers the West Yorkshire region so there is an expectation of travel across the region. All offices are accessible via public transport.
