The Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Team (Uasc) are recruiting a qualified and experienced Advanced Social Workers at Grade 10.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Advanced Social Worker to join the Unaccompanied Asylum Seeking Team (Uasc). This is small team of Social Workers based within the Pathway and Leaving Care Team. The Leaving Care Team has a strong history of achieving good engagement and outcomes with many of our care leavers. However, we equally know that we need to improve and strengthen our practice and resources in some key areas, and in particular engaging with our Uasc young people and ensuring they achieve the best outcomes.
The role will focus on an opportunity to work closely with the Pathway and Leaving Care Team.
You should be an experienced practitioner and be able to demonstrate the skills to work with children, young people and their families whose needs are more complex. In addition you will be required to deputise for the Team Manager, and to offer supervision to other team members on a formal and informal basis. Qualification as a Practice Educator is desirable, and it is an expectation that you will assume this role in order to offer practice placements to students from the social work programmes at local universities.
You will join a welcoming service where expectations are high, but you will receive support and supervision to be an excellent advanced practitioner. Hull is a City with a renewed sense of optimism, with our City of Culture status and is a great City in which to live and to work. So if you are an advanced practitioner who is ambitious and with an interest in Uasc young people and would like to make a contribution to our transformation programme, we would like to hear from you.
