We are currently looking for an Advanced Social Worker to join the East Cluster, based at Beverley Children and Family Centre.

Services for vulnerable children across the East Riding were recently judged by Ofsted to be “good” with “outstanding” features. Inspectors found that “vulnerable children in the East Riding receive good quality, well co-ordinated support that safeguards them well and improves their lives.” The inspection team praised social workers and practitioners for their excellent work in supporting children and their families, describing services for young people leaving care as “outstanding”.

We are seeking applications from experienced social workers who have developing leadership qualities to manage change, motivate staff and be a mentor and role model to those who are less experienced. You must have post qualifying experience within safeguarding social work. You will be proficient in completing assessments with strong skills in analysis and risk identification as well as being experienced in statutory safeguarding work. You must be highly skilled at engaging children, young people and their families and ensure that the child’s voice is evident throughout your work. You will be able to demonstrate a commitment to ongoing professional development and be able to efficiently manage a complex case load.
