This latest round of Step Up To Social Work applications opened on 4th February and will close on the 18th of March 2019.
The Yorkshire and Humberside regional partnership has secured 47 places on the next Step up programme (cohort 6).
The North and West Yorkshire regional partnership has secured 28 places on the next Step up programme (cohort 6).
- Sheffield City Council is the lead authority for the Yorkshire and Humberside region and supports the following authorities: Barnsley, Calderdale, Doncaster Trust, East Riding, North Lincolnshire, North East Lincolnshire, Rotherham, York and Hull.
- Leeds City Council is the lead authority for the West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire regional partnership, supporting Bradford, North Yorkshire and Wakefield. Each authority has bid for a number of places on Step Up to Social Work and the number of places has not been confirmed by the DfE yet due to a high national demand.
Successful applicants will begin training in January 2020.
