Social workers have to make important decisions every day about the lives of children and families with whom they work. These decisions are often complex, are influenced by a wide range of factors and have a big impact on the future of children who are at risk of harm.

The What Works Centre has recently begun a new study to help shine a light on what helps social workers make good and wise professional judgements and decisions. I am writing to ask for your help in completing a related online survey (see link below). The WWC is looking for 600 social workers in England to take part in this – and for every survey completed, it will donate £5 to Trevi House (a service for mother’s with substance misuse problems) and Become (a service for young adults with care experience).

We hope you will be able to take part, and many thanks in advance for your support.
