As a region we’re committed to making Yorkshire and the Humber the most collaborative, supportive and rewarding place in which to enjoy a career as a Children’s Social Worker. So that’s why all our 15 of local authorities have come together as one team to support and create change.
By sharing best practices and a clear vision across the region, we will make it easier for social workers to make a difference in children’s lives. To do this we are making a Pledge on what you can expect when you work in Yorkshire and the Humber.
Our Pledge

Every Children's Social Worker will receive the highest levels of support and supervision with clear leadership. Caseloads will be manageable and you'll have clear guidance and direction.

Accurate reporting and analysis is a vital part of the work we do. But we're committed to finding innovative ways to give you more time to spend with children and use your professional skills.
#3. Tailored induction process
As a Newly Qualified Social Worker, you'll have an on-going formal induction throughout your first year, tailored to your individual needs.

You'll work as part of a highly committed and passionate team who support one another. By sharing knowledge across the region, you'll also get access to a wider choice of training opportunities, giving you the freedom to find your niche and the area in which you're really passionate.
